Oranga Tamariki Ministry for Children was established on 1st April 2017 which incorporated Child, Youth and Family and some of the MSD and Community Investment functions, and the Children’s Action Plan directorate.
Oranga Tamariki’s vision is that New Zealand values the well-being of tamariki above all else, and our purpose is to ensure that all tamariki are in loving whānau and communities where oranga can be realised.
